As Utah’s land grant university, Utah State University serves each county through its Extension system. USU Extension/4-H has provided out-of-school coding programs to Utah’s youth since 2011 and has expertise engaging youth in interest-driven learning and positive youth development. With over 60,000 youth and 6,000 volunteers participating each year in Utah 4-H, USU Extension has significant reach with its organization to deliver hands-on educational experiences to Utah’s youth. Recently Utah has been recognized as a leader with its CS-focused Discover 4-H programs and as key partner in developing the 4-H CS Career Pathway with Google and National 4-H.
