Code Nation is a national nonprofit that equips young people from low income backgrounds for careers in technology, creating pathways to economic mobility. We build bridges between a city’s tech sector and its under-resourced high schools to offer a multi-year tech education and workforce readiness program. Our program includes introductory coding classes taught in schools by professional software developers, advanced coding classes taught on-site at tech companies, and paid summer internship experiences. We currently work with about 1,500 students across 46 high schools in NYC, San Francisco, and Oakland. Code Nation will be expanding to Chicago in September, 2019!
