Polyup is a computational thinking playground where players can experiment with numbers and functions. Polyup is available for free on the web and is being used by tens of thousands of students and teachers around the world in math and computer science classes, tutoring centers, and more. Polyup is built on the vision of Stanford University Visiting Prof. Yahya Tabesh, a lifelong math educator and an Erdos International Math Education award winner, for the purpose of empowering a global community of creative and engaged problem solvers. At its core, Polyup is a casual programming environment that allows learners to discover their own knowledge in a computational thinking playground. Progressing through packages called “Poly Machines”, students from 3rd through 12th grade can solve puzzles that cover a variety of topics, from arithmetic to algebra to algorithm design. Polyup enhances students’ analytical and algorithmic thinking skills while simultaneously providing live analytics and assessment to educators. Allowing anyone, teacher or student, to create and share their own puzzles, Polyup is a breeding ground for mathematical ideas and challenges. With Google Classroom integration, Polyup makes it easy to supplement learning in any mathematics or computer science class.
